CMCC #45 - Christmas Wishes

I made this card for the ColourMe "monochromatic" challenge in Stampin Up "Real Red".   I love the colour Red, cardinals and Christmas.....  I used two stamp sets (Ornamental Pine and Beauty of the Season), Crumb Cake and Real Red ink, Whisper White and Real Red card stock and Frosted Sequins embellishments.   I popped up the snowflakes by placing inverted sequins on the back held down by the mini glue dots.

Thanks to the Design Team for another great week of inspiration!

CMCC #42 - Trees

This card was made for the ColourMe challenge this week using Crisp Cantaloupe, Island Indigo and Soft Sky.  I used a variety of border punches from Stampin Up to create the trees, pasted on Whisper White card stock.  I used the owl punch for the small 'balls' that decorate two of the trees, and rhinestones for the centre tree.  The sentiment is from the Special Season stamp set.

Loved the inspiration from the Design Team!  Thank you

CMCC #1 - Grateful

I used the Corner Garden and the Alphabetized stamps (with the thing-a-ma-jig) from StampinUp to make this card. The colors are for the ColourMe challenge this week - Cherry Cobbler and Hello Honey.  Recently a friend sent me some pictures taken in BC and they were breathtaking.  Made me realize how grateful I am to live in such a beautiful country and this inspired the sentiment on this card.

CMCC #41 - Happy Thanksgiving

This card was made for the ColourMe Challenge #41 using the 'striking' colors of Cherry Cobbler and Hello Honey.  The fall is my favorite season as the colors this week made me think of thanksgiving.  I used several Stampin Up stamps and challenge colours on Very Vanilla card stock.

Thanks for another great challenge this week!

CMCC #40 - Louise

I love the colour choice from the ColourMe Challenge this week.   It brings such a fresh splash of colour against the Crumb Cake and Ivory background.  I used all StampinUp products.

CMCC #40 - Simple and Soothing

The ColourMe card challenge this week is Monochromatic using Calypso Coral from Stampin Up.  I used the Easter Wishes stamp (simply inking the tulips and not the sentiment).  It is one of my favorite stamps and I use it for any occasion!  I used Calypso Coral marker and a blender pen to colour the tulips and the sentiment and leaves are stamped using Crumb Cake.

Thanks for the challenge ColourMe Team!

CMCC #39 - Happy Thanksgiving

I used the Wondrous Wreath, and Autumn Days stamps from Stampin Up for the Colour Me challenge this week.  The leaves along the bottom are stamped in Real Red, Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Yellow on white card stock and then cut out by hand.  The background card stock is Bermuda Bay.

Had fun joining in again this week!

CMCC #39 - Any Occasion Card

I used the new Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from Stampin Up to create the focal point of my card.  Then took this weeks Colour Me Playful (Bermuda Bay, Real Read, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango) using markers and the blender pen to colour it in.   I fancied it up a bit by adding the Jewels Basic Rhinestones.  There are two borders on the card (Real Red and Bermuda Bay).  I left off the sentiment as this card could be used for any number of occasions.

Thanks to the team for another great week of inspiration!

My grandson is turning 3 and he adores motorcycles - as in he lives and breathes motorcycles and he also loves the colour Yellow.  This week's ColourMe challenge was to use Daffodil Delight so this was perfect.  The pattern for the motorcycle was so generously shared and posted by BirdsCards. I used all Stampin Up products (card stock, DSP and stamp).

CMCC #35 - Happy Day

This was a very challenging challenge!   I used a variety of Stampin Up products for this week's Colour Me card challenge.    I was at the Farmer's Market in St. Jacob's this morning and there is this one merchant that has such beautiful flowers - since flowers come in all colors, it inspired me to try out Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla and Tangelo Twist.

Thanks to the design team for the challenge and their inspiring cards!

CMCC#19 - Airing the Quilt

I made this card for the Colour Me challenge this week (Monochromatic - Cherry Cobbler).  It reminds me of my room when I was 15 (more years ago than I'd like to say!) - it was all red and white and I loved it!

I used every Stampin Up set I had that had a small, recurring pattern in order to make a different square for the quilt.  This was lots of fun!!

CMCC#8 - Mosaic

This inspiration for this card came from an article I was reading in the Journal Pioneer last week.  It was profiling a quilting company that had been in business for 25 years and there was a picture of an appliqued quilt with 9 squares appliqued in pinks, white and blue.   The colours for this weeks challenge at Colour Me seemed to fit right in!  (Soft Sky, Pistachio Pudding and Brown Sugar).

I used all Stampin Up products (and many of them!)   8 stamp sets, 9 punches, 3 Textured Impressions, 3 sizzlets, and embellishments (pearls, twine).

Thank you to the design team for a another challenge using awesome colors!

This card used Stampin Up products in Whisper White, Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry.  I used two three stamp sets: Happiness Shared for the sentiment, Best of Flowers for the bottom edge and Reason to Smile for the other flowers.  I used card stock for the 'ribbons', rhinestones and lastly I sponged pool party on the background of the larger flowers.

Thanks to the Colour Me design team for the challenge and inspiring cards you created!

FM145 - Welcome

This week's sketch for Friday Mashup was the inspiration for this card.  All products used are from Stampin Up.

The card stock is Crumb Cake, Early Expresso and Real Red.  The wreath is the doily from the Artistic Etchings stamp and I punched a 3/4" circle from the center and cut around the outer edge.   The Welcome stamp is the "Welcome Baby" stamp from the Fine Florish stamp set (using only the Welcome).   The door knob is a brad with a a decorator dot.

Had lots of fun with this one!

FM145 - Sail Away!

Although this stamp retired from Stampin Up, it remains one of my favorites.  My daughter calls it my 'signature stamp'.    I used it for the Friday Mashup sketch, which is an awesome sketch by the way!  So versatile......

For the card stock, I used Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla , and Pistachio Pudding.  The Sail Away was stamped on canvas and the sails were colored with Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding with a blender pen.  The ribbon is Coastal Cabana ruffled, and the anchor is made with the Happy Whale Clearlets (Big Shot) using Basic Black.

Lastly, I used the Gorgeous Grunge to stamp the 'water spots'.

CMCC#5 - Amour

This week's ColourMe challenge was to use five colours of your own choice.  It didn't take long to realize that this is harder than being given the colours to use!   I finally approached it by selecting my favorite card stock, ribbon and stamps from StampinUp.

I used Coastal Cabano for the card base, two layers of Strawberry Slush ribbon for the right edge, Bermuda Bay Grunge stamp, Melon Mambo and black ribbon for under the Amour stamp, and lastly Crumb Cake for the "En Francais" stamp on the circle.  The dots and Eiffel Tower (from Artistic Etchings stamp set) are in Basic Black.

Thank you to the Design Team for their inspirations!

CMCC#4 - Grandson's Valentine's Day Card

I had made a Valentine's Day card for my youngest grandson and I my husband said it had to go!  It was a giraffe and he thought it should be heavy equipment!   Stampin UP to the rescue with "I Dig You" stamp set.

I used the colors from the ColourMe challenge (Pool Party, Perfect Pumpkin, Gumball Green and Blushing Bride) and created a scene worthy of Jack!

Happy Valentines Day!

I have a Grandson that lives and breathes trains, so I created this Valentine for him using Stampin Up products.
The card stock for the train cars is More Mustard, Marine Mist, Real Red, and I used Basic Black and Smoky Gray for the wheels.   The train track is Early Expresso card stock using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. The strip is cut in half.   Lastly, the clouds and the 'meadow' are The Designer Series paper.

CMCC#4 - Sympathy Card

The colors for this week's Color Me challenge had me stumped for a few days!  The lovely creations by the design team were inspiring, so I started browsing through my Stampin Up collection to see what caught my eye.  I love simplicity in life........and this stamp set Simply Sketched was just what I needed.

I used Gumball Green, Perfectly Pumpkin and Pool Party for the stamped image, Blushing Bride for the sentiment and Pool party for the decorative dots.   It needed something more, so I finely cut card stock in all of the colors to make 'reeds' along the left edge of the card, fastening with a bit of Stamp Up Multi Liquid Glue.

Thank you for the challenge Design Team!
